Historic Buildings Archaeologist
I am a freelance historic buildings archaeologist offering professional, flexible and effective built heritage services to clients within the commercial archaeology industry.
I have substantial commercial archaeology experience, having trained as a buildings archaeologist with Archaeological Research and Consultancy, University of Sheffield (ARCUS), before moving to London to work for Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd. After spending a year as their Head of Historic Buildings, I decided to broaden my horizons and set up my own business. I have since worked on a wide variety of projects for clients ranging from large planning consultancies to commercial archaeology units.
I have two first-class degrees in archaeology, and am a member of the Institute for Archaeologists (PIFA). Although I am particularly proficient in the fields of industrial and ecclesiastical architecture, I have analysed buildings of a broad array of dates and functions.
